League Handbook (Updated Feb 27, 2024)

Although our regular season has ended, we are pleased to provide drop-in options for adults of all skill levels through the spring season.  

Competitive Drop-in:  
This will be a high skill, fast paced drop-in similar to the current Adult division. Due to high demand we will be providing 2 sessions a week rather than one.  
These will take place at Hugh Boyd Secondary School on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30pm on the following dates: 

Apr 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30, Jun 4, 6 & 11.  

As always, all equipment will be provided, however goalies are welcome to bring their own gear. 
If you would like to play, please do the following: 
1) Sign this waiver https://forms.office.com/r/u2GCagfWqU  
2) Join the Facebook group where we will be creating polls for each session so we can anticipate our numbers and cap off if necessary: https://www.facebook.com/groups/759057866200022/  

3) Pre-registration: $60 for all 20 sessions (this deal will close Apr 2^nd) or $40 for 11 sessions (this deal will close May 9^th). Please e-transfer to registration@rcfha.org or pay cash/card at the tournament registration table. Be sure to include your full name. Please note that pre-registering does not guarantee you a spot at a session as it is still first come first served, it only gives you the best price. 
OR 
3) Pay $5 at the door at each session. 

Non-Competitive Drop-in: 
Unlike the current Adult division, this will be a lower skill, lower paced, beginner to intermediate option for those looking to keep in shape and play hockey. We have created this after hearing there were a number of parents who would love to play Cosom, but were discouraged by the fast gameplay of the Adult division. If you fall under this category, this drop-in is curated for you! 
These will take place at Burnett Secondary on Thursday nights from 7:30-9:30pm on the following dates: 

Apr 11, 18, 25, May 9, 16, 23, 30, Jun 6, & 13.  

As always, all equipment will be provided, however goalies are welcome to bring their own gear.

We will use your phone number to add you to the WhatsApp group. 
2) Pre-register for all sessions by sending a $30 e-transfer to registration@rcfha.org or pay cash/card at the tournament registration table. Be sure to include your full name. This deal will close on Apr 18th. 
OR 
3) Pay $5 at the door at each session.

*please note that these are two separate programs, so if you are interested in playing in both then you must pre-register for both* 

Pre-season working group games for our Youth Division are starting this week!

Please see schedule for the time and location your team will be playing. Please note that these are preliminary working group games to assess team balance. Final team roster is subject to change.

The 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday, May 29th from 7:00pm – ~8:30pm at Thompson Community Center (5151 Granville Ave, Richmond)

Everyone is welcome to attend. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our president (president@rcfha.com). We are always looking for more volunteers – no commitment is too small! This is your chance to come out and be a part of the future of the league.

You’re also welcome to attend as a spectator and learn more about RCFHA if volunteering isn’t an option for you.

We will also offer a virtual option to attend via Microsoft Teams. A link will be sent out closer to the date.
