Annual General Meeting

As a wrap-up of the season and transitioning to the 2024-2025 season, RCFHA will be holding the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the City Center Community Center, in the Multi-Purpose Room 1.

This meeting involves a summary of the previous season and planning for the upcoming season by voting in of a new RCFHA Executive. As always, everyone is welcome to attend. If you are interested in helping out in any capacity, volunteering, being apart of the Executive, or would like to express any comments, questions, concerns, or feedback/ideas you may have, feel free to attend the meeting.

If you have any questions, would like any more information regarding volunteering with RCFHA, or would like to express your interest in volunteering, feel free to contact info@rcfha.org.

Hope to see you on June 19th!

It’s a Party!

Richmond Cosom Floor Hockey Association will be hosting a community block party on Saturday, Sep 9, from 12-4 at JN Burnette high school!

We will have free food and drinks, various games and prizes to win, giveaways, and other fitness activities to join in the festivities. Please bring your families and friends and spread the Cosom Hockey experience to everyone. Feel free to drop by anytime during the time period above and stay for as long as you’d like.

We will have an Open House for those who would like to try the sport out and the opportunity to talk to some of our Executive members to get a better idea of what the sport is all about. Feel free to visit our Welcome Booth where we can help answer your questions about registrations and maybe even have you register your kids or yourself on the spot.

Come on out, we’d love to see you there! Bring your family and friends!

2023 Spring/Summer Adult Drop-in

Non-Competitive Drop-in:
Unlike the current Adult division, this will be a low skill, low paced option for those looking to keep in shape. We have created this after hearing there were a number of parents who would love to play cosom, but were discouraged by the fast gameplay of the Adult division. If you fall under this category, this drop-in is curated for you!
These will take place at Burnett Secondary on Thursday nights from 7:30-9 pm from Feb 2nd to June 29th, which includes time for set up and tear down. As always, all equipment will be provided, however goalies are welcome to bring their own gear.
If you would like to play, please do the following:
1) Sign this waiver https://forms.gle/5wzJsqM7t9btjFJa6
2) Pre-register for all sessions by sending a $30 e-transfer to registration@rcfha.org (this comes to less than $1.50 a session!). Be sure to include your full name. This deal will close on Feb 10th.
OR
3) Pay $5 at the door at each session.

Competitive Drop-in:
Building off our first successful drop-in last year, this will be a high skill, fast paced drop-in similar to the current Adult division.
These will take place at Burnett Secondary on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9:30 pm from Apr 4 to June 27th, which includes time for set up and tear down. As always, all equipment will be provided, however goalies are welcome to bring their own gear.
If you would like to play, please do the following:

2) Pre-register for all sessions by sending a $30 e-transfer to registration@rcfha.org (this comes to about $2 a session!). Be sure to include your full name. This deal will close on Apr 12th.

The Wait Continues…

While the world holds its breath on the final result of the US election, we too have been waiting for the final approval and facilities for Cosom Hockey to get started! Just a short update to all that our exec has been working tirelessly to put a safe and fun season together, we are still subject to circumstances beyond our control. And until “all the votes have been counted”, we will remain optimistic on our path forward!

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay fit!
